Punto Ciego
Work/Vertical Series/Punto Ciego
Belonging carries unequal risks for Ray, a scholarship student seeking anonymity, and Tom, accustomed to wealth and control. Before the homecoming dance, a bet to seduce Ray turns that imbalance into a personal pursuit.
Behind the story
Why I made it
I approached Punto Ciego as a complete pilot series through which I could learn the craft of short vertical drama with AI, from writing to images and video. Conceived for viewers aged 18 to 35 who follow romances between men on short video feeds and drama apps, its production would give the projects that followed a practical foundation.
The world
Social distance shapes my view of Calder University, where red brick, ivy and autumn leaves evoke a New England campus. The Sharks of Arizona wear crimson and cream, while polished brightness surrounds the popular students and dimmer, more distant framing accompanies Ray's arrival. Academic standing and money determine how comfortably each inhabits the same university.
The characters
Every character enters the story with a life already underway, expressed in their identity and visual design.
