Fuego Cruzado
Work/Vertical Series/Fuego Cruzado
Trust becomes a dangerous possibility when Sam and Levy meet in Lisbon. Working for rival intelligence agencies, each carries an order to kill the other, making any closeness inseparable from the threat of betrayal.
Behind the story
Why I made it
Trust takes on a different weight when intimacy enters the world of espionage. After Punto Ciego, I carried the same production process into an action romance, preserving the preparation of characters, locations and wardrobe while changing its setting and visual treatment. I wrote for viewers aged 18 to 35 who follow romances between men, placing trust at the story's centre.
The world
I give the distance between Sam and Levy a visual presence within a contemporary international spy thriller opening in Lisbon. Rooftops, bars and working interiors hold Sam's amber light and worn neon alongside Levy's steel, cold blue and glass. Restrained violence leaves reactions and offscreen space to carry the tension of what neither man can safely assume.
The characters
Every character enters the story with a life already underway, expressed in their identity and visual design.
