Good Dogs
Work/Pet Series/Good Dogs
Sharing a home means negotiating who belongs on the sofa. In Theo and Diego's apartment, a new ban leaves Alaska determined to reclaim her seat, while Zeus finds food more compelling than the dispute.
Behind the story
Why I made it
Domestic comedy begins in the gap between a household's rules and its affections. I build on the recognisable habits of my dogs, Alaska and Zeus, with Lily & Leo as a reference for the bond between dog and owner. From there, I developed a separate home for two dogs and two partners, shaped around their everyday disagreements.
The world
A shared home becomes a study in competing habits in Theo and Diego's city loft, with its open kitchen and cream sofa. I keep the staging legible, setting warm brass lamps against the neighbouring buildings' blue night light. The comedy belongs to ordinary dog behaviour and the couple's different ways of responding to it.
The characters
Every character enters the story with a life already underway, expressed in their identity and visual design.
